Who's ready for a picture update (although I should be sleeping right now)?

I'm so lucky this is my family! I love them all so much.
Let's get this picture out of the way. My hair is wavy now. Actually it has been wavy for years, but with my new haircut I let it be wavy on purpose.
Now this is what I call cuteness!
More cuteness (who has slept through the night twice in a row now)!
Cuteness always has her hands in her mouth (or blankets or burpcloths or toys but not pacifiers).
Joshua and Noah are two peas in a pod. They both like lots of rules and games, and they are both deep thinkers. Too bad they don't go to the same school.
It's also too bad Noah is on vacation for the rest of the summer. People here take LONG vacations!
Jaydan is loving swimming lessons. He loves swimming, period. It's a good thing we have a pool at our apartments.
This is his new friend Lucy. They are so cute playing house together!
Lucy: "Jaydan, you're my boyfriend and I'm your girlfriend."
Jaydan with a funny look on his face: "No, we're JUST FRIENDS!"
Life is good and summer is fun. Anyone want to come visit us?

93 feels like 110?

Right now we have an "excessive heat warning" and a "severe thunderstorm watch". I stepped outside today and my sunglasses fogged up. Outdoor activities have been canceled. And yes, we did have Joshua's party outside yesterday in the (feels like) 110 degree weather. Pictures to come (probably).

Fireflies and lightning and airplanes, oh my!

That's what I see when I look out my window. Fireflies will never cease to amaze me. The kids think they are pretty cool too. What do you see out your window?

(I would go out on the balcony to watch them, but that seems to upset our birds. I think their eggs are going to hatch any day now.)

More for the family (still more to come)

My grandma and Alyssa wearing the beautiful dress she picked out for her. I love my grandma! She just turned 92.

Does anyone else have some to share?

Teething HELP!

Alyssa is only three months old, and teething is in full force! The only thing I can do to get her to stop crying is nurse her. ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS? Tylenol and baby orajel only work for a few minutes. HELP!

Which one is better for our wall?

I'm not saying it will actually ever make it to the wall, but if it did, which do you like better?

We just renewed our lease for our apartment (they threw in a garage for FREE), so we'll be here at least 14 more months. With that in mind I'm hoping to get a few pictures up on the walls. And I'm so happy the boys finally have a place to put their bikes so they don't have to drag them up and down three flights of stairs.

Speaking of the three flights of stairs, they really aren't that bad (obviously or I wouldn't have signed for another year). It's forced exercise for all of us, and the view from our balcony is really worth the climb. I've been watching lightning storms from our patio the past several nights, and we have birds tending their nest out there that are fun to watch.

The only really bad part about the third floor is bringing up groceries. Any suggestions to make it easier?

She slept through the WHOLE night!

(She's still sleeping. Too bad I was up so late, or I might actually feel rested right now.) We're off to St. George right after school today.

Countdown to St. George

I had so much to do this past week

that I didn't get anything done. If that even makes sense to you then you are quite possibly as confused as I am.

Alyssa

At her two month check up she was 10.10, 22.5 inches. She has all kinds of new tricks, but I'll be lucky if I even get them written in  her journal, so you'll have to live without reading about all the excitement on my blog. (Hard to do, I know.) I'm still living in Overwhelm. At least I got her picture posted. (That is the dress my grandma sent her. It's beautiful!)
